Lost Encounters, They Cling, Performance, 2025, Valentino Skarwan
Lost Encounters, They Cling by Valentino Skarwan draws from Guatemalan myth, where human and non-human worlds intertwine. Syncretism lives on the edge of every word—alive in the blending, the bending, the staying power of what refuses to disappear. The performance listens for what lingers: gestures that shift shape, symbols that hide ancestral meaning, bodies that carry more than they were meant to. Valentino Skarwan creates space for the in-between. For what doesn’t behave. For hybrid bodies that bend instead of break.
